A wedding car isn't complete without a little dressing up! Whether it’s the classic V-shape ribbon on the bonnet or floral handles, decorations signal to the world that "Just Married" joy.
However, decorating a car requires a balance between aesthetics and safety (and LTA rules!). Here is our guide to dressing up The Vow Carriage fleet.
Matching the Car Colour
You want your decorations to pop, not clash.
- For the Silver Mercedes C200: Silver is a neutral, metallic base. Bold, deep colours look luxurious here.
- We recommend: Navy Blue, Deep Red (Burgundy), or classic White netting.
- Avoid: Grey or Silver ribbons (they disappear against the paint).
- For the White Toyota C-HR: White is a blank canvas that makes everything look bright.
- We recommend: Gold (very elegant), Pastel Pinks/Peaches (romantic), or Sage Green (rustic).
- Avoid: White ribbons, unless they have a colored border or texture, as they can blend in too much.
Safety & Practicality
We welcome you to bring your own decorations (or have your florist set them up), but we have a few safety ground rules to ensure your trip is smooth:
- Driver Visibility: The "V" ribbon on the bonnet must not be so thick or high that it blocks the driver’s view of the road. Safety is our priority.
- Expressway Speeds: Remember, we likely have to drive on the PIE or AYE to get to your venue. Massive plush toys strapped to the grille can fly off at 90km/h! We recommend using cable ties and strong suction cups (ask your florist to double-check these).
- No "Trailing" Cans: In the movies, dragging cans behind the car is cute. In Singapore, it’s a road hazard and illegal. We stick to decorations attached to the car body.
Installation Timing
Usually, couples or their bridal party will decorate the car in the morning upon our arrival.
- Pro Tip: Allocate 15-20 minutes in your schedule for this! "Uncle" will arrive with the car clean and washed. We are happy to assist by pointing out the best anchor points on the grille or door handles to avoid scratching the paint.
